The vacation rental was better than we'd thought. The photos let you foresee a clean and rather well equipped accommodation but it was better than on the photos. We were 6 and we had enough space for everyone. Very large bed in the bedroom and 2 very comfortable sofa-beds.
Feb 12 2013The subway was 2 minutes away and we could be downtown in 15 minutes. Central Park is also a 2-minute walk.
On top of that, the hostess is very nice and always available if needed.
Everything was very good. Maybe the futon bed in the livingroom was a bit to hard, so maybe it could have been better if I have had asked for en extra mattress. All of us really enjoyed our stay at this nice apartment and our kind accommodation owner. Next time we travel to NY we look forward to try to book this apartment.

Nov 29 2012I understand that everyone's mattress preference varies from soft to firm. The living room futons are the highest quality and thickest mattresses available. They have been chosen with great care to try and accommodate a majority of people.

Apr 09 2012The apartment was our first as part of our first ever trip to New York. The apartment itself is fantastic, plenty of space and great amenities. Our hosts were brilliant, they were nothing byt helpful and made our introduction to New York all the more pleasant and pain free. We would definitely be recommending this accomodation to anyone visiting New York.

Nov 01 2011Extremely beautiful apartment, perfectly equipped and appointed, clean and quiet. The garden area is undeniably a plus. The owners were perfect: welcoming, always ready to help out to make your stay smooth whilst remaining discreet. All this greatly helped make our stay very enjoyable. If the apartment location seems at first a bit far from Lower Manhattan, the subway very close to the apartment wipes out any drawback.

Our stay in New York was even more enjoyable as we could live in this apartment which is very nice and very well located. Perfect for 4 people. Very pleasant little garden! The owners are delightful and give very good advice.

Sep 27 2011I was very impressed. Place was immaculate. We had both ac units running while there, we didn't hear any noise outside. Street was quiet and safe. We took the subway and it was only a 5 minute walk to the apartment. Spending our days in the hustle and bustle of NYC, going back to the apartment and quiet neighborhood was wonderful.

May 28 2011Good location for this vacation rental, a 3 minute walk to Central Park north, very well served by subway and bus.. Functional and nicely decorated (better in reality than it looks on the photos).. The accommodation owners live upstairs and are very friendly and give good advice.. The 4 of us spent a very nice fortnight in NYC..Patrick and Family..

We also appreciate the area where it was located, close to Central Park and Morningside Park, and we were surprised about no noise. [Owner] welcomed us, and helped a lot in our choices. Everything about my experience with New York Habitat has been wonderful. I thought the website was fantastic with lots of detail about the apartments and it was a very easy website to navigate.

The apartment [Uptown, New York] was excellent, and actually better than the photos on the website showed. The owners had many helpful brochures inside the apartment for things to do in New York, and I was extremely pleased that they had provided information on things in the local area as well which was very helpful. [The owner] was very accommodating with any request that we had and we could not have asked for better service.
I would not hesitate to use NY Habitat again and in fact have been singing your praises to all my friends!
We had a wonderful 8 days long stay in New York. The apartment was great and the owner was really kind. A very calm place, a large space (including a small garden) and fullly equipped for 4. Nothing bad to say. The neighborhood has a great location and there were many shops around the area. A subway stop was nearby. All this helped make our stay unforgettable.

May 22 2006It was very clean, very comfortable beds, newly renovated, many comforts of home, great location and we felt very safe there. The Landlords live upstairs and were kind and helpful. It was also a very reasonable price.
We would recommend this apartment to all of our friends who plan to visit New York in the future.

we were happy with the apartment we stayed in, there was very little to complain about... the only thing that we felt was missing was (especially for girls!): a full length mirror.... clock/radio/cd player..... other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the landlord was helpful and we would definitely consider staying there again.
