Studio in the East Village
|
This studio located in the East Village is on the fifth floor of a walk-up tenement style building. There is roof access to get a bit of fresh air.
The apartment is basically all contained in one living area. The room consists of a futon, which converts from a couch to a full sized mattress, several dressers and a few small tables. There is a TV flatscreen with basic cable and DVD player. There are two windows, which view out towards the north and provide nice sunlight. There is also an air conditioner in one window to keep the place cool.
The kitchen is in the back of the living room and contains a coffee maker, toaster and all of the necessary cooking items. There are plenty of dishes, utensils, pots and pans to make a small meal.
The bathroom is behind the kitchen and includes a shower, a W/C and a sink with vanity.
Just up the stairs is a roof, which can be accessed by the guest. It is a nice place to look at the views of the Empire State Building and Chrysler Building. There is no furniture up there but it worth going up to look at the view.
The apartment is located in the East Village, one of New York's most hip neighborhoods. This area is full of local food shops and ethic restaurants- Indian, Ukrainian, Moroccan, French, Korean, Italian and Eurasian food. There are also many produce stores whose stalls of fresh fruits and vegetables attract local residents. Halfway between Soho, China-town, NoLitta and Astor Place and Union Square, it is home for young professionals, artists, musicians, models as well as Hispanic families and eldest residents. Entertainment is the name of the game in this part of town; bars, clubs, coffeehouses and boutiques of fashionable designers.
