Loft studio in a Lower East Side Storefront

This lovely simple apartment is at the heart of a thriving neighborhood, the trendy East Village which combines chic cafes, coffee bars, restaurants and up-scale shopping with the continuing vitality of the traditional Lower East Side area, long the melting pot of waves of immigration into this country starting just after the Civil War. Institutions such as Katz's Delicatessen and Russ and Daughters have survived the gentrification and are still
dispensing the delicacies of Esstern Europe in much the same manner that they did nearly 100 years ago.
The apartment, which has been cleverly converted from a storefront, consists of two rooms; one is a living room with sofa (which can be used as an occasional sleeping area for the third person) and a bedroom with comfortable queensize loft bed. There is also a small, but pleasant kitchen area with fridge, stovetop, coffee maker and microwave--certainly you would not want to host a large dinner party here, but it is just perfect for preparing your morning coffee to have with a freshly baked croissant available just down the street, or perhaps a genuine New York bagel, from the area that made bagels a household word.
Other amenities are cable television, wireless Internet service, stereo and linens. Maid service is available.
The apartment is a short walk from Soho, Chinatown, Little Italy and Greenwich Village.
Looking for a change from the touristy blight of midtown? Come stay for a day, or a week, and be on the cutting edge of the hippest section of New York City.
