In spite of Superstorm Sandy, we had a nice stay in New York. Apartment is spacious, close to subway and shops. Owner is helpful.

Nov 19 2012Apartment is very nice to live in with 4 adults and 2 big teens. Location is very convenient as it is close to a major subway station, a mall, grocery stores and (Brooklyn's) 5th Ave with all its restaurants. It is as shown on the online photos, clean, simple and in a safe neighborhood.
Oct 28 2012Needed improvements: greater water pressure in the showers (not easy to rinse your hair) and more forks, knives, spoons. Still, the most important items: fridge, toaster, microwave and coffee maker were perfect. Very pleasant contact with the owner who was there to welcome us.

Nov 18 2012Can be improved: as we rented for 8 people it is a pity that there weren't enough chairs to sit all together around the table... showers sometimes a bit problematic with the hot water supply for large parties, even with the 2 bathrooms.

the equipment, the cleanliness, the location (subway and busses very close), the welcome, the help offered especially upon leaving (calling taxis etc..), a phone number was provided in case we had a problem or questions.

We have 6 stools and one chair that can be used. We only have six because the dining table is a custom piece and it doesn't fit the normal chair height so we bought adjustable stools, and we haven't had the chance to purchase any more of them. Also as for the water we had an issue with the construction crew next to us using our water, that's worked out we shouldn't have any more problems.

Nov 09 2011Apartment not to be missed. The location is not bad, 15 min from Times Square with the subway, a shopping center next door, it is well located. Apartment cleanliness can't be faulted, everything was great and the owner can be reached all right when needed. Very good vacation rental!!!
Oct 16 2011owner ray dean street brooklyn, to have someone waiting for us despite our late arrival round midnight was a very nice surprise, unfortunately we didn't see ray, vacation rental is ideally located close to subway, we missed having a map of the neighborhood with shops and more especially with the supermarket. thank you for your hospitality.

Hello, we had a nice stay at this vacation rental, it is well equipped and clean. The owner is a most gracious lady who also gave good information on NY. It is located in Harlem but I must say in a very quiet neighborhood also for children and quite convenient to reach the main sites of the city. The only thing is the smaller bedroom where we would have liked curtains that the block the light more.

May 15 2011The apartment was really nice and well furnished; very close from a lot of subways line (Manhattan easily accessible), close from lots of restaurants and shops (for dayly needs); the owner is living just below (practical in case of information need or problem). The only little drawback is that the room located on the street side is a little bit noisy (for people not used to live in downtowns)
May 05 2011Welcome was lovely ; the person is on the premises and thus can be contacted for any issue at all. Accommodation is spacious, nicely decorated and adequately equipped. Access to public transport is very close. Just one small downside regarding the noise: soundproofing with regard to the street leaves to be desired and the noise can wake light sleepers. One solution is to get earplugs to sleep!
Apr 23 2011The appartment was very large, accommodating easily our family with our three kids! It is situated very close to a major subway station making the trip to Manhattan much easier and faster. Ray was very good indicating all the major things to find (grocery stores, subway and so on) and helped us with the parking of our van for the 5 days we were in Brooklyn. The only draw back to the appartment was the noise from the heating system at night. It is part of the charm of older building in NY but can be disturbing if light sleeper.

Jan 21 2011More particularly, unexpected service: great choice of shampoos, conditioner, etc. Well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds.
Only drawback: in winter, the heating is sometimes a bit loud - it didn't disturb us, but it could disturb lighter-sleepers.
We felt very comfortable and will certainly go back! Thanks a lot!
I confirm to you that the apartment we rented in Boerum Hill met our expectations. The location was perfectly close to the Atlantic station, the pictures were equal to the reality, the rooms, bathrooms, furniture in perfect status with a very good decoration.

Nov 16 2010Apartment and service was good. I would have preferred to have my deposit check sent back as opposed to canceling it with the bank. But otherwise very happy with the accommodations, the owners, and the process.

Further to this review, we contacted the owners of this apartment who confirmed that they typically give the security deposit back when clients are leaving the apartment, but depending on how the rent is paid (PayPal, wire transfer, etc...) they will return the deposit within 1 week
