New York Accommodation Studio in Hamilton Heights, Uptown (NY-12810)

This Hamilton Heights studio vacation rental is found in the garden apartment of a late 19th century brownstone at 142nd Street & Hamilton Place in the Uptown section of Manhattan, New York City. A few steps down lead to the entrance of the accommodation, which is secured with a heavy door and security system.

Enter the vacation rental and find yourself in the main area of the studio. In here you will find a double bed positioned next to a decorative fireplace and up against an exposed brick wall, two details that are indicative of the historic nature of the building. Across from the bed is a sitting area that features a coffee table and a double size sofa bed. A window near here overlooks the street.

On one of the other exposed brick walls of the room there is a large mirror under which a table and chair has been placed, serving as desk for the space. Back closer to the couch and bed there is a wall-mounted flat screen television with DVD player plus cable access. The accommodation has WiFi Internet available as well. For your convenience an iHome (iPod docking station), an iron, and a hair dryer have been provided.

At the far end of the studio is the bathroom, which benefits from marble details and a full wall of mirrors. The tub in here features double glass doors and a showerhead that has the option of being handheld or mounted on the wall. The white and chrome sink has cabinet storage underneath and a small drawer unit next to the toilet holds towels.

PLEASE NOTE that there is not a traditional kitchen in this studio vacation rental but rather a mini-refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker are available for your use.

Outside the apartment find yourself in Hamilton Heights, a historic neighborhood of New York known for its landmark buildings, proximity to the Hudson River and various schools. Some schools that are close by include City College of New York (CCNY), The Harlem School of the Arts, and The Dance Theatre of Harlem.

If you are looking to enjoy the outdoors look no farther than Riverbank State Park, a state-of-the-art public park built over the North River Wastewater Treatment Plant as part of the initiative to keep NYC green! At this park, one of the most visited in the state of New York, you can find an Olympic sized pool (which is converted into an ice rink in the winter months), an 800-seat theater, fitness complex, restaurant, and multiple synthetic sport surface fields.

If you are looking to travel to other parts of the City there are various subways near the apartment. At the 145 Street / Broadway you can access the 1 train and at the 145 Street / Saint Nicholas Avenue Station you can access the A, B, C, and D trains.
