The apartment is very clean, closer to subway and buses and includes a lot of appliances and equipment furniture. We were so comfortable and quiet.

Apr 30 2012Lovely accomodation: you will really have what you expect to once you saw the pictures. The aerea is nice, safe and it's very easy to get downtown in 20 minutes or so thanks to subway and bus lines.

We will choose a vacation rental in New York again, the location in Harlem was really good, we always felt safe. Even late at night, no problem. The subway and buses were just a few minutes away. The landlady was very nice and everything worked well.
Dec 15 2011The accommodation is small but it has everything you need to feel comfortable. It is tastefully equipped, there is plenty of information about New York and free Internet access.
We booked this vacation rental for our city trip to New York City. The accommodation was as described - there was no (negative) surprise. The connection to Downtown is good once you've grasped NYC subway system. Also, we always felt safe in this neighborhood. Besides, the owner provided extensive information on Harlem.
Oct 17 2011The WiFi was also very convenient for us. Arrangements with the owner were overall very straightforward and uncomplicated. We were able to leave our luggage in the apartment after check-out and right until our final departure time.
Lovely accommodation, true to its description. somewhat off city center but not far thanks to subway. good opportunity to discover Harlem and be part of the neighborhood's life.

Claudine and her Sister were wonderful. I had an opportunity to host them at a wonderful Gospel service on Sunday and to lunch at the World Famous Junior's Restaurant in Brooklyn. They left the place beautifully cleaned.

Jul 05 2011Beds comfortable and the way they collapse into the wall is very handy as it makes the room much larger. However, getting around is difficult when the first bed is open.

Safe neighborhood and easy to access with the subway and all the bus lines.
The accommodation is ideal for vacationing, very well equipped, clean, located in a very quiet small building. The neighborhood is a bit off Manhattan center but our stay was most pleasant.

We found the hospitality top notch. The proprietor was very helpful in terms of imparting information and a comprehensive background on Harlem and it's history. She was a wealth of knowledge and even supplied us with all sorts of reading material about the neighbourhood and a personalized handpicked list of local restaurant suggestions.
Mar 14 2011We felt very safe and comfortable in this neighbourhood. I would happily book my next trip's accommodations at this location.
The vacation rental is very tastefully decorated, the owner even left a few books with the history and culture of the area and the folding beds make up for the small surface. It was extremely clean, absolutely spotless. The building, compared to the buildings you can see in New York, was in good condition. The area, even though Harlem can seem scary at first, is very nice, we never felt uneasy and the subway station was less than 5 minutes away. We took the subway at all times, even late at night, never had any problems.
Jan 14 2011Dealing with the owner was smooth, even though our English is very poor, she made an effort to make herself understood and she explained everything the first day.
The only downside is that it is a bit far, specially late at night when there are fewer trains, but I'd rather have to travel a little longer than stay in a hotel downtown where for the same price I can only get a cheap accommodation compared to this apartment.
NY Habitat : quite good, the apartment rental procedure was nice and the flow of communication was good. Once we rented we had no news but I guess thatīs normal. We did not have any problems with the reservation and I guess that's what counts in the end.
The apartment is very well location, the amenities are of quality and the accommodation is very clean, the owner is very kind and welcoming, the only downside is the soundproofing as the building is old, also there were drafts because of the gap from the AC, nothing much, I'll be happy to return and I recommend this apartment.

Further to this review, we contacted the accommodation owner who confirmed that he had the air conditioning unit removed for the winter season and has sealed the windows.

Oct 14 2010Only downside: disturbing drafts from the windows when you're sleeping (because the bed is nearby), and I couldn't open them.

Further to this review, we contacted the owner of this apartment who confirmed that she has had the windows repaired. The air conditioning unit has been removed for the cold/winter season and the windows have been sealed to keep in the warmth and keep out the wind.
