Situated on 4th Street & 6th Avenue, and perched upon the third and fourth floors (considered 2nd and 3rd in Europe) of a four-story walk-up brownstone, this duplex provides a calming atmosphere on a residential block (as well as nearby popular attractions and subway stations). To ensure privacy and convenience, this 19th century building includes a buzzer/intercom system for all residents. |

We had an excellent stay. The accommodation on two floors and 4 bedrooms is very user-friendly and allows for privacy when you are a party of several families with several children over 18, which was the case for us.
Mar 11 2013The hosts are charming and very discreet. He lives nearby, which can be useful should there be a problem.
I highly recommend this vacation rental, even if it is a bit far from Manhattan. The rides are easily manageable with the subway and the neighborhood is very quiet, which is nice after a day sightseeing.
I would suggest to prepare written indication regarding subways station, shops, laundry services etc. to hand out to guests when arriving, together with a map of the area (and I mean of the two or three blocks around the house, where to find the subway station, the supermarket etc. very simple indications).
Nov 07 2012The inspection of the apartment at the end of the stay seemed like a punishment, but in general the experience was very pleasant, the apartment met our requirements and we had a very nice stay.

Oct 15 2012Wonderful experience. The owner was very kind, courteous and helpful (hardly had we arrived on the 1st evening, he took us to the supermarket to show us the way and on our departure day he called a taxi for us).
Aug 05 2012Park Slope is really as very nice and very quiet neighborhood, we should just point out that it takes about 15 min to reach the nearest subway station, but that's a trifle.
The only little downside in the apartment layout (and we didn't get it when we watched the video on NY Habitat website) was to realize when you got there that the sitting room and the kitchen are located right on top floor! after a long day walking and with young children it's a bit tough but you very quickly get used to it!
It is a really beautiful vacation rental, we'll certainly go back!
Excellent vacation rental. Great location, very clean, spacious - accommodated 9 people without seeming at all cramped - air conditioned, well equipped. Very straightforward transaction and friendly owners. Highly recommended.
