In general, we are satisfied. The owner was OK and willing to help in case we need it. The place was OK so I will recommend to our friends the place.

Having staying in Manhattan several times, we fancied a change and so chose Brooklyn. We made a great choice! Awilda our host was lovely, very helpful and flexible about check in/out. We arrived to find a fully stocked fridge (completely unexpected!)and suggestions for dinner that evening.

The apartment is great - very nicely furnished, spotless and in a safe feeling residential area. We felt completely at home. Having the balcony to eat breakfast on and plan our day was a bonus

Plenty to do nearby - Prospect Park, Brooklyn Library and Brooklyn Museum - this was not to be missed. And very easy/quick to get into Manhattan on the subway with 2 lines at the station - 5 mins walk away.

When we next come to NY, we will stay here again! Great value for money

I am not quite sure how to respond to all these positive reviews and the great guests that stayed in my studio.

It is always a pleasure for me to have guests stay over and enjoy their stay. I take particular care in assuring that all my guests feel comfortable and right at home. I enjoy answering all their questions and always provide them with a list of interesting sites and places of interest.

Every guest is important to me and I look forward to meeting more people that are appreciative of my space and that enjoy themselves.

Positives
Iwelda is a considerate and helpful host and we appreciated her assistance with information about local facilities, sights etc.
The apartment is located in a fairly quiet street in Kensington close to the Church Ave subway on the F track.
The apartment was clean, had a nice television with multi-channel access and Iwelda had stocked the cupboards, refrigerator and bathroom with a substantial supply of commonly needed grocery items.
The veranda is a very pleasant feature of the apartment. We really enjoyed our stay with a couple of caveats.

Negatives
The lounge setting in the apartment smelled very strongly of cat urine throughout our stay. Iwelda apologised for this and was making arrangements for cleaning while we were there. Nonetheless this had an impact on our stay. Our stay in Brooklyn coincided with some quite hot weather and the apartment was very hot - the air conditioner that was eventually provided seemed to be moving the air around rather than cooling it.
Some basic kitchen/dining items were not supplied - inadequate frypans/saucepans, kitchen knives, a kettle, drinking mugs larger than a tea cup.
Storage in the apartment is seriously compromised by the presence of a large, mysterious furniture item in the main wardrobe - this would be a magnificent space if not for the fact of its presence. There really should be a bedside table and reading light on BOTH sides of the bed.

Overall we really enjoyed our time here.

Our host/land lady was extremely kind and helpful. Was more than willing to help us find places to visit and things to do. The apartment itself was very clean and had fantastic appliances and a very new bathroom. Comfortable bed and a lovely balcony as well. Very close to the subway. Would highly recommend this property to anybody looking for a place in a quiet and safe area.

We were very satisfied, the value for the price was absolutely right. The owner was very friendly, attentive and helpful. We felt very comfortable. Also, the area was good, shops, banks, subway station, everything within easy reach. It was an entirely successful stay. Thanks again to the landlady!

I stayed for a week at the apartment. The outward appearance of the building could be improved, my first impression when I arrived was one of irritation. But this soon changed. The apartment is fully equipped with old (antiquish) furniture. Bathroom is new. The whole place is very clean, spacious and wonderfully quiet. I was positively surprised to find a selection of organic food, coffee and tea in the apartment. The owner is very service oriented and very helpful. An excellent experience. I can truely recommend this place. It is good value for money.
