We thought the location was very good, the neighborhood is lovely, very typical of Brooklyn.
Jan 29 2013We were shut in because we were there during Superstorm Sandy so we had to stay indoors, but we enjoyed the apartment. It was very cozy, nicely decorated and comfortable.
There was wifi, TV with all the channels. They (the hostess and her husband) were very thoughtful. They recommended places we could go to in the neighborhood. ABOVE ALL, they asked for news nearly every day and told us what public transport and places were open during the storm.
On the last day, the husband came to fetch us with his car and gave us a lift to the airport bus.
I thought it was good. Service was really good. Owner was awesome,

wait for her at all, she greeted us right at the door.
This apartment is a good option for a family stay in New York, at a fair price and in a nice neighborhood. There are small restaurants and shops nearby. Manhattan is 45 minutes away with the subway's A express train.

Jun 04 2012The only issue were the upstairs neighbors, new yorkers, up every morning at 5.30. So it 's noisy every day from 5.30 to 8 am. It is not soundproof at all. When they were walking you'd have thought they were in the apartment, not to talk about when they were going down the stairs, you'd have thought they were running down in the bedroom.
A part from that, it was very good, Manhattan 20 min away on the subway with the express train.

Jul 18 2012I'm sorry they didn't tell me about the noise while vacationing, so I could have spoken to the neighbors.
Yes, New York can be a tad bit noisy at times, but there's no place like it!
