The studio is just five blocks away from the Brooklyn Museum and one of New York City's best green spots: Prospect Park, where you will find the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Prospect Park Zoo and the Bandshell that hosts free outdoor concerts throughout the summer. The Prospect Heights neighborhood is home to excellent restaurants, bars, shops and galleries. The great Mexican restaurant Chavela's is just two blocks away, as is the lovely bakery Lily & Fig. Another recommendation is Washington Avenue, also two blocks away, where you will find an assortment of hip bars, restaurants and boutiques. There are also great dining and shopping opportunities in the neighboring areas of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill. To further explore Brooklyn simply take the S train, which is literally less than one block away. Commuting to Manhattan is also easy: just walk four blocks south and take the 2, 3, 4 or 5 train at Franklin Avenue, with both local and express trains making it easier to explore NYC.
