New York Accommodation 2 Bedroom Rental in Carroll Gardens (NY-15439)

This two bedroom duplex apartment is located at 1st Street & Bond Street in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. The apartment features laundry facilities and air-conditioning in all of the rooms.

Enter the first level of the two bedroom into the living room. In this open yet cozy space you will find a couch and a few chairs, a decorative fireplace, built-in bookshelves, and two tall windows at one end that allow lots of natural light into the space.

Continue further into the apartment and find yourself in the modern kitchen. In here there are all the necessary appliances needed to prepare home-cooked meals, including a 4-burner gas range and a dishwasher. There is also a dining table for 4 and another decorative fireplace. A door in one corner of the kitchen leads out to a wood deck and the shared garden in the back. Enjoy a barbeque on the deck where you will find a charcoal grill and another dining table for four. Down in the garden is a fenced-in lawn and a raised deck-like platform that serves as a home to some chairs and potted plants.

Head upstairs from the living room and you will be in a hallway that accesses both bedrooms and the bathroom. Bedroom 1 located at one end of the floor has a queen-sized bed, flat screen television, and glass window French doors that partition off a dressing room/closet area. The window in this room overlooks the street. Bedroom 2 features twin bunked beds, two armoires, and a window that gives a view of the street and some buildings. The bathroom, located near Bedroom 2 has double sinks and a bathtub/shower unit. Both a window and a skylight allow natural light to brighten the room.

Outside the apartment you will find yourself in Carroll Gardens, right on the border of the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Boerum Hill and Gowanus. This residential area is known for its quiet and tree-lined streets. For a more lively atmosphere head up to Court and Smith Streets where there are restaurants and shopping to be done. Cobble Hill Cinemas is located on Court Street at Butler Street, a great little movie theater that not only plays the biggest box office hits, but independent and foreign films as well. Come here on a Tuesday or Thursday for some great ticket deals!

To access the rest of NYC there are a few options for subway transportation. At the Carroll Street / Smith Street Station (3 blocks) there is access to the F and G trains and at the Union Street / 4 Avenue Station (5 blocks) there is access to the R train.

Please note that there is a cat that inhabits the apartment, which will need to be fed daily. However, a neighbor will attend to the litter box.
