This furnished three bedroom apartment is a duplex, located on the 5th & 6th floors of a pre-war walk-up building In the East Village in New York City. The building is secured with a security system upon entering.
This vacation rental apartment has hardwood floors, exposed brick, ceiling fans, air-conditioning in all the rooms, a fireplace in the living room and it offers WIFI Internet access. Enjoy the views of the city and the famous Empire State Building from the roof deck, which also has a barbecue and patio furniture for outdoor dining. There is also the convenience of both a washer and dryer inside the apartment.
The accommodation has southern views of the garden and northern views with an exposure onto the street.
The East Village in Manhattan is known for its artists and community flavor. This apartment is close to a wonderful mixture of bodegas (small Latino-owned shops), green-grocers (run by Korean families), and an excellent health food store (Commodities) for food shopping. But, you'll probably want to eat out almost every night because of the range of affordable restaurants on Avenue B (now known as Bistro Row) and Avenue A. They range from nouveau Indian to vegetarian to country French to Pan Asian. And, there are the "classics" like Viselka (Ukranian) and 2nd Avenue Deli (Jewish/Eastern European), only a few blocks away. This New York community is full of interesting houseware and gift shops along 9th street, Avenue A and 1st Avenue.
Please note that the tenants will have to take care of the 2 cats living in the apartment during the rentals.

The apartment is very well located, but at the same time quiet and surrounded by restaurants and parks. The comfort is perfect, you quickly feel at home and the decorating is very pretty. It is fully equipped, with a washing machine, dryer, internet etc. There is a beautiful terrace with a view ofthe Empire State Building (yes really!). Both the cats of the apartment are adorable and very well behaved, so it was no problem taking care of them (not the least bit difficult). The owner of the vacation rental is very nice and helpful. We exchanged many emails, in which she told me of all the interesting addresses nearby. To sum up, we truly had a wonderful stay in this apartment, and I highly recommend it! |

all wonderful. we were not here, but a friend did all the arranging and it went very well, apart from a slight leak in our shower (there is another full bath) for a bit of the time. |
