11.  1st Half 2010 Furnished Apartment Conclusion

The 1st half of 2010 brought hope that the economic turnaround had reached the furnished apartment market in New York. Not only was the number of people requesting apartments up but also so was the number of clients actually renting apartments. Though we see a reoccurring theme in the report, customers were cost conscious; this did not hurt their desire to come to New York. Vice President Francois Roux said "Through increased marketing efforts and an improved inventory, we were able to increase the number of requests for and bookings of furnished apartments in New York in the 1st half of 2010" he goes on to say that "The 2nd half of 2010 is showing promising results as well, while the company continues its efforts to boast the furnished rental segment of the business in New York."

Looking ahead to the future, we expect the furnished apartment market to continue to rebound. New York remains one of the world's capitals for the finance industry, contains renowned schools and universities and is a desirable location to visit. The furnished apartment product allows customers to come to New York, live like a local, spend less than in a hotel and enjoy their time in the City.
