Another important aspect of the New York Vacation Rental report is neighborhoods rented. Through the years, we have seen a greater shift to apartments located in the uptown and Brooklyn neighborhoods as customers have been more and more willing to look for apartments that are reasonably priced. In the 1st half of 2010, this continued to be the case for rentals uptown where 19% of all customers ended up staying. The only neighborhoods that were more popular than Harlem were East Village at 21% of rentals and Midtown West - Chelsea at 30% of all rentals.
