Neighborhood: This is a central area, very convenient to travel all around Paris.The apartment is close to the pedestrian Montorgueil Street with its large choice of quality food products, restaurants, cafes, and other services. It is also near Beaubourg's National Museum of Modern Art, the Rue des Lombards jazz clubs and of course the large underground mall of Les Halles. It is short walking distance to such points of interest as the Seine River, the Notre Dame Cathedral on Ile de la Cité, the unique Ile Saint Louis, and the majestic Louvre Museum. From the adjoining Jardin des Tuileries, one of the most well-known parks in Paris, there is a lovely perspective -- the alignment of the Obelisk on Place de la Concorde, the Champs Elysée and the Arc de Triomphe in one direction and the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel and the glass pyramid of the Louvre in the other. Premises: This 80m² (approx. 860 sq. ft.) duplex apartment is situated on the first floor (second in the USA) of an 18th-century walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by an intercom. The apartment has southeastern exposure and all the windows are equipped with double-glazing. The 7m2 guest room has no window and.is furnished with two single-size bunk beds and shelves. The eat-in kitchen has two windows facing the street and exposed wood beams. It is equipped with a small refrigerator, a dishwasher, a combo grill/microwave oven, four electric burners, a coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster, a large wooden bar and a dining table with four matching chairs. There is a closet with a vacuum cleaner and an iron with an ironing board. The first bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and showerhead, a washbasin and a toilet. The second bathroom has a shower, a washing machine, a washbasin and a toilet. Central heating and water heater use gas and are individually metered. The nearest metro station is Les Halles (Line 1, 4, 7) and RER A and B.
