Apartment Rental: 29 days

The apt was very, very small for two people, without much space to store anything you bring. It's strange this was listed for a minimum of 3 month rental since you won't be able to put in more than a week of clothing in the small closet (shown in the picture) and that's about it.

The condition of the apt is very old and outdated. The mirror in the bathroom is so old you can barely see your face in it. The condition of the apt when we arrived was average (I wouldn't call it clean).

As for the location, even it's on a small side street, it's quite noisy at night. Like most Parisian walkup buildings there is no elevator so it's a pain to bring up luggages, not that you have much room in this apt for them anyway. We were very disappointed when we arrived to see that we couldn't even open our luggages and the fact that we were not advised for the size of the apt since we specifically told the agent at NYHABITAT that we are relocating from the US to FRANCE permanently (not as tourists) and we booked for 4 months in order for us to look for a place more permanent.

Our request to see the apt before we booked was rejected and since we didn't have time to look for an apt so we took it thinking it's probably ok. It turned out to be so small we stayed only 3 days there but paid for 4 months of fees (non refundable) and more than one month of rent for a lesson, that is not to rent an apt again unless we see it.

Thank you Julian. This accommodation is located in the Marais. In the historic center of Paris, accommodations are small, streets are narrow and elevators are rare. Besides, this building is a listed monument as are most other buildings in this neighborhood; it was recently renovated and is in perfect condition. It shows signs of the past, as do all buildings in the Marais.

All the furniture is 1930's authentic Art Deco style, it clearly shows on the photos. I am keen to have the apartment clean for my guests' arrival and provide clean sheets and duvet covers, etc.

As regards the monthly rent, the agreement states that if the renter leaves after one month, the security deposit is entirely lost. However, I only deducted the vacant week and returned the rest of the deposit in its entirety.

Thank you so much for your comments! Please note that our contract specifies that our agency fees are non refundable.

However, the host's conditions for cancellation will now be disclosed before the guest books the apartment. We greatly appreciate your feedback.
