This furnished apartment is in a charming location in the heart of Paris, between Place Maubert and Quai de Montebello just beside the Seine. Notre Dame, Ile Saint Louis -- one of the most delightful spots in all of Paris -- and the fashionable Boulevard Saint Germain are just steps from this accommodation. A walk along the Seine with its secondhand booksellers can be very leisurely and romantic. A concentration of bars, cafes and restaurants make this area very lively and there are also a large variety of services such as open-air markets, supermarkets, and excellent bakeries.
Premises:
This 63m² (approx. 675 sq. ft.) triplex apartment is situated on the second floor of a well-maintained 17th century walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a security system and opens into a corridor protected by a second door with iron bars and an intercom. This opens to a planted courtyard leading to a narrow 17th century staircase.
The apartment is north exposed and faces a calm courtyard. The walls are white and there are wood floors almost throughout.
Upon entering the apartment there are a few narrow stairs leading to a 28m² (approx. 300 sq. ft.) living and dining room area and an open kitchen. More narrow stairs lead to the 16m² (approx. 170 sq. ft.) bedroom and private bathroom. In the bedroom there is a staircase leading to the second bedroom (15m² - approx. 160 sq. ft.) on the third floor.
The living room has three double-glazed windows facing the garden and 2.16m (approx. 7.10 ft.) high ceilings. It is decorated with a sofa, an armchair, a decorative fireplace, a wooden chest of drawers, a mirror, a dining table and matching chairs, a combo cable TV/VCR, a DVD player and a stereo. There is also a telephone and high-speed Internet.
The open kitchen has a window facing the courtyard and is equipped with a microwave, four vitro ceramic burners, a small refrigerator, a sink, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster and all the necessary utensils.
The first bedroom has a French door opening onto a small terrace. It is furnished with a king-size bed, a wooden chest of drawers, shelves and a telephone. Under the staircase is the washing machine. It has 2m (approx. 6.50 ft.) high ceilings.
The bathroom is tiled with a window facing the courtyard. It is fitted with a shower, a washbasin with a mirror, a hair dryer and a toilet.
The other bedroom has a 1.90m (approx. 6.20 ft.) high ceiling and is furnished with a single-size bed and a built-in closet. It has also a double-glazed window and a French door opening onto a small terrace without a guardrail.
The apartment is equipped with a vacuum, an iron and an ironing board.
Heat and hot water are electric.
