Atypical one bedroom loft style duplex in the Bastille area

Neighborhood: This apartment is located between Rue Oberkampf and Rue du Chemin Vert. It is situated just a few steps away from the Marais with the Musée Picasso, Place des Vosges and Place de la Bastille. It is short walking distance from the Bastille and the Oberkampf area and its trendy cafés, restaurants and bars. It is also located directly across from a bar. Premises: This 45m² (approx. 480 sq. ft.) one-bedroom loft apartment is situated on the third floor of a 17th century walk-up building on two levels. The main entrance gate is protected by a security system. There is also a concierge in the building. The exposure is south and the apartment faces the street and the courtyard. The walls are white, and there are high ceilings with exposed beams and wood floors almost throughout. Layout: Upon entering the apartment, there is a separate, open eat-in kitchen on the right. Facing the entry door is a separate toilet and a small washbasin. On the left is the living room. On the second floor are the 10m2 (approx. 105 sq. ft.) bedroom and open bathroom. Please note, the ceiling height on the second floor is ONLY 1.20m (approx. 4 ft.). The 28m² (approx. 300 sq. ft.) living room has two windows facing the street and is decorated with a double size sofa bed, an extra bed that sleeps one person, a dining table and two chairs, a desk with a chair, a decorative fireplace, shelves and a telephone. The bedroom has a skylight and a view of the living room. It is furnished with a double bed (140 wide), a TV and a VCR. The eat-in kitchen is tiled and has a window facing the courtyard. It is equipped with a folding dining table and matching chairs, a small electric oven, a microwave-grill, two electric burners, a small refrigerator, a coffee maker and a toaster. The bathroom has a skylight and is facing the bedroom without any separation door. It is fitted with a tub with a hand-held showerhead, and a washbasin topped by a mirror. The toilet is separate. There is a washing machine in the apartment. DSL Internet access is available. The nearest metro station is St. Sebastien Froissart (line 8).
