The historical Marais has a special atmosphere because of its pre-Revolutionary architecture, its exclusivity and its proximity to so many of Paris' famous monuments and sights. It includes such points of interest as the royal Place des Vosges, the home of Victor Hugo (at number 6), and the Beaubourg area and Pompidou Center, one of Paris' most visible structures and its museum for modern art. There are art galleries, design shops, trendy bars and restaurants, and other types of essential shops and services in the neighborhood. It is also a few metro stops away from St. Germain des Pres.

The apartment is situated on the third floor of an 18th century walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and an intercom. The apartment faces the courtyard and has a northern exposure.

The bathroom has a washbasin with a mirror, a toilet, a closet, a vacuum cleaner and a tub with a showerhead.
Heating and water heater are electric and individual metered.
