Cozy and quiet one bedroom apartment
|
This 40m2 one Bedroom apartment is situated between la Tour Maubourg and the Invalides in a residential, touristic and commercial area.
The courtyard takes you to rue St. Dominique, a busy commercial street during the day that quiets down in the evening. The American University in Paris as well as many other schools are located here. Next door you have two supermarkets and there are a lot of restaurants in the area. Rue Cler with its daily markets, superior butchers and cheese stores are around the corner. Poujauran that many consider the best bakery in Paris is very close by. The American Church at Quai d'Orsay is a five minutes from the apartment, the American Cathedral twenty minutes by foot.
This apartment is situated on the first floor of a recently refurbished apartment complex originally built for the engineers of the Tour Eiffel nearby. It faces a calm and open inner planted courtyard. The main entrance gate is protected by an intercom and there is a concierge in the building and an elevator. The exposure is east and it faces a calm and flourished courtyard.
The walls are white painted and there is sea grass carpeted floor almost everywhere with several antique kilims.
The apartment is divided as follows: when you enter it is the 25m2 living room on the left hand-side of which is a separate eat-in kitchen. On the other side of the apartment still on the left hand-side is a 12m2 bedroom and its bathroom and dressing room.
The living room has a window facing the garden and equipped with double glazed pannels and exterior manual shutters. It is decorated with a velvet sofa bed (140 wide) with an extra thick mattress, a dining table and its chairs, a wall-in-built bookcase, a decorative fireplace surmounted by a mirror, a desk and a chair with a cable TV, separate VCR and telephone. There is also a large closet and wardrobe in the living room.
The bedroom has also a double glazed window with exterior shutters viewing the garden. The double bed( 140 wide) has a natural latex mattress on top of flexible slats. A large duvet blanket and two non-feather pillows are provided. It is also furnished with a small antique writing table, large bookcase and bedside table.
The separate eat-in kitchen is tiled and has a window facing another smaller inner courtyard. It is fully equipped with a folding dining table for two persons, a fridge and a freezer (combo), a microwave and electric oven (combo), four vitro ceramic burners, a sink, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a toaster.
The bathroom is tiled and has a small window. It is fitted with a shower, a washbasin surmounted by a mirror and a toilet.
There is a dressing room on the left hand-side of the bathroom.
There is also a high speed internet connection.
From the stop at the doorstep bus number 69 takes you to the Louvre and the Marais and Bastille districts. Nearby you also have buses 80, 63 and 28 that whisk you easily all over Paris for sightseeing, shopping, and cultural events. The nearest metro stops are La Tour Maubourg and Invalides (line 8) and RER. At the Invalides square reasonable parking is available.
