Famous for its original architecture and its modern art, the center attracts both Parisians and tourists. On rue Rambuteau, you will find a bakery, a bank, a hairdresser as well as a supermarket. The district is known for its many museums, such as the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire du Judaïsme, the more popular Musée Picasso, as well as the Musée Carnavalet. For shopping, the Halles Mall with 170 stores is within walking distance.
Please note that the main bedroom (Bedroom #1), the living room and the kitchen are accessible in two non-traditional ways: either via the second bedroom (Bedroom #2) or via the bathroom (see layout).
We really loved the apartment. It was large by Paris standards and adequately furnished. The location was terrific. There was no noise from the street although we experienced a lot of internal noise from surrounding apartments. The daughter of the owners was basically helpful although when we had some difficulty with the Internet connection, she seemed reluctant to help us because of her busy schedule. That was the only somewhat frustrating experience.
Aug 03 2010Otherwise, she attended to our needs.
We would certainly rent that apartment again if we returned to Paris in the future.
