This apartment is situated between rue de Rochechouart and rue du Faubourg Poissonnière. A cosmopolitan and dynamic area, it has a number of diverse shops, restaurants and cafes, located at the base of Montmartre knoll Up the hill are the charming Place du Tertre and the Sacred Heart Basilica, which features a wide esplanade with a unique view of Paris. A few metro stations away are most of the main monuments and points of interest. All kinds of conveniences are easily found in the neighborhood.
Premises:
North and south exposed, this pleasant 40m² (approx. 430 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment (in need of a fresh coat of paint) has a full sky view overlooking the boulevard and the metro line, the rooftops, and the fairly distant Sacred Heart Basilica. Located on the sixth floor of an early 20th century walk-up building (there has been some water damage to part of the staircases that needs to be repaired-see pictures), it has a security system and a fulltime caretaker. The apartment has white walls, a parquet floor, and 2.60m high ceilings.
A hall with a closet covered with curtains and a tiny hatch opening to the kitchen leads to the living room on the left and to the bedroom and bathroom on the right. The walls of this hall need a fresh coat of paint (see pictures).
The pleasant 13m² (approx. 135 sq. ft.) living room is brightened by a window overlooking the boulevard and the surrounding rooftops. It contains two seats (together they make a 140cm wide bed) and number of cushions, a red round coffee table, armchairs, a wooden drop leaf dining table and six chairs, bookshelves, an area rug, a stereo, a telephone, and lamps.
Separated by a yellow curtain, the 11m² (approx. 115 sq. ft.) bedroom is furnished with a 140cm wide double bed, a lamp, a cabinet, a desk (the computer seen in the photos is not available), a cable TV, a VCR, and a window opening to a quiet courtyard.
The separate kitchen is equipped with four gas burners, an oven, a refrigerator-freezer, an electric kettle, a toaster, a stainless steel sink, and utensils in the cupboards and on the shelves.
The white tiled bathroom features two small windows, a bathtub with a handheld shower (no curtain), a white ceramic washbasin with a round mirror, and a washing machine. The toilet is separate.
The closest metro station is Barbés Rochechouart (lines 2 and 4).
