Neighborhood: Situated between rue Saint Sauveur and rue Greneta, this apartment is located in the very central Montorgueil pedestrian area, enclosing one of the oldest streets in the city. It is very close to the main points of interests such as the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, the Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral and St. Eustache Church. It is also near residential and commercial streets with fresh markets -- greengrocers, bakeries, fishmongers and supermarkets -- open every day until 8 p.m.; there are also trendy bars, restaurants, and a parking area. Be aware that this apartment is located in the Red Lights District Premises: This 33m² (approx. 355 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the second floor of a walk-up building from the 17th century. An intercom protects the main entrance gate, which leads to an authentic 17th century staircase with a tommette tiled floor. The apartment has a parquet floor and exposed ceiling beams. It has windows screened by Indian silk curtains facing northeast on the passage, and two windows facing southwest on a courtyard, protected by white blinds. Layout: The entrance door opens directly into the living room and the open kitchen. Further, adjoining the kitchen, is the bathroom. The 28m² (approx. 300 sq. ft.) living room is furnished with stylish elements. It is fitted with a double sofa bed, a Swedish wooden coffee table, two bridge chairs, a 1930s armchair, two large area carpets, two wardrobes, a chest of drawers and eclectic wall pictures, as well as a cable TV and VCR on a stand. A DSL Internet connection is available. Open to the living room, the kitchen is equipped with two electric burners, a microwave/grill oven, a refrigerator, a wooden counter, a stainless steel sink, and quality utensils including a kettle, a coffee maker and a toaster. The tiled bathroom has oak ceiling beams, a mirror above the washbasin, a cupboard, a toilet and a small bathtub. Heat and hot water are electric and individually metered. Close to the RER station, Les Halles, which serves two airports, plus the metro stations Réaumur Sébastopol (lines 3, 4) and Sentier (line 3).
