This furnished studio apartment is located in a 6-story walk-up Haussmannian building in the Canal Saint Martin neighborhood of Paris. On the third floor (fourth American French floor), it faces south and overlooks the private courtyard of the building. The entrance is secured by a digicode system.
When entering the apartment, on your right is a practical alcove to be used as storage space, and on your left is the bathroom with shower stall. Across from it is a short hallway that leads to the eat-in kitchen. Lined with tiled floors, the kitchen has all the basic appliances you’ll need to cook your own meals, as well as a dining table that seats two and a convenient washing machine. It opens onto the sleeping alcove, which contains two single beds and a wardrobe for storage.
On Rue Marie et Louise and Avenue Richerand, in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, the studio is on a little street, less than 400 feet (121 meters) from the charming Canal Saint Martin and a pedestrian bridge to cross it. The canal is a popular area among Parisians because of its beautiful landscape with abundant greenery and bridges. You’ll find plenty of restaurants, bars, stores and shops around the corner along the nearby thoroughfares. You can take the RER express trains at Gare Du Nord and Gare De L’Est stations, both within a 1½-mile (2.41 km) radius. The closest metro station for local trains is Goncourt, on line 11, 0.3 miles (480 m) away. Alternatively, you can take the 2 train at the Colonel Fabien station, or the 5 train at Jacques Bonsergent. The most convenient station, however, is République (a ½-mile / 800 m away on the other side of the canal) since it provides access to lines 3, 5, 8, 9 and 11, making it easy to explore the entire capital city!
