Neighborhood:
This apartment is located in a very popular area, the Marais. It is one of a number of Parisian neighborhoods that have preserved almost all of its pre-revolutionary architecture.
Close by is the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, also known as Beaubourg, Les Halles Mall, and the well-known pedestrian rue des Gravilliers, a residential and commercial street with greengrocers, fishmongers, and lovely restaurants and cafes. A little farther away is the royal Place des Vosges, where one finds many the residences of many historic personalities. Also nearby is the Louvre, City Hall, and the Seine River with its enchanting islands.
Premises:
This 30m² studio apartment is located on the first floor (second floor in the USA) of a 17th century walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system.
Layout:
The entrance door opens directly onto the kitchen. Straight from the entrance is the living / sleeping room. The bathroom is accessible thru the living room.
The 22m² living room has one window, which overlooks a courtyard. There is also an old tiled floor and exposed ceiling beams. It is furnished with a double size sofa bed, a desk, a round table, an armchair and some shelves.
The kitchen is equipped with two electrics burners, a refrigerator, an oven, a coffee maker and a kettle. There is also a laundry machine.
The renovated (2006) white tiled bathroom is equipped with a shower, a washbasin and a toilet.
The apartment is equipped with DSL internet.
The nearest metro station is Arts et Métiers (line 3).
Smoking is permitted but pets are not.
Heat and hot water are electric and individually metered.
