Neighborhood:
This studio is in the 3rd Arrondisement, on the Rue Reaumur, which is located between rue des Archives and rue des Vertus. It is close to the lively Place de la Republique with its four metro lines that offer an easy access to all parts of the city. The studio is in the Marais district, which is famous for its architecture, its food, fashion stores, museums (the Georges Pompidou Center and the Picasso museum are at 5 minute walk) as well as restaurants and bars. The Marais is one of the very few areas in Paris where the shops are open on Sundays.
The "Marché des Enfants Rouges", one of the most famous open market of Paris is only at 3 minutes away.
Premises:
This 35m2 (350sq.ft.) studio has hard wood floor and is decorated with designer furnitures.
It is located on the 5th floor (6th floor in the USA) of a walk-up building, typical for those built in the 18th century. It is protected by a coded security system.
Layout:
The entrance door opens into the living area (27m2/270 sq.ft.) with a small skylight above the bed, and has two windows. One window faces south onto the street and the other faces north onto the courtyard. The ceiling is 3m/10ft. high in the center of the room and slopes down on both sides. The main room is furnished with a double bed, a TV, a writing table with a chair, a coffee table and an antique mirror and a lamp. There are also two large closets. The dining area has a table with two chairs and is next to the two steps that lead to the fully equipped kitchen with a window facing east into the courtyard.
An Internet access is available.
The kitchen area comes with an electric stove, a microwave, a refrigerator with freezer, a washing machine with dryer, a coffee maker and a toaster.
The bathroom has a shower a freestanding antique washbasin and a toilet. The window faces west into the courtyard.
The closest metro is Arts et Métiers (line 11).
Heat and hot-water are both electric and individually metered.
