Neighborhood:
Bordering the Seine River, and just beside Notre Dame Cathedral this exceptional location in the heart of the Quartier Latin is undoubtedly an asset being one of the most youthful areas of Paris abounding of historical points of interest. It has been the center of Parisian education since the Middle Age. In the nearby pedestrian streets there are many diverse restaurants and cafes, and many fashion shops, bookstores, and other services are found all along the Boulevard Saint Michel where is the Sorbonne University, and in the neighboring famous Boulevard Saint Germain.
Premises:
This 60m² one bedroom apartment is located on the fourth floor (fifth in the USA) of a 18th century building equipped with an elevator. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and an intercom.
The building faces the Seine riverbanks.
Layout:
The entrance door opens onto a hallway, which leads to the right to the bedroom, straight ahead to the bathroom and the kitchen, and to the left to the double living room.
The 30m² double living room has four double-glazed windows. Three of them overlook the street and offer a nice view on the Seine River, the Notre Dame cathedral and the Louvre. The last window opens onto an interior courtyard.
This room has a northeast exposure and is divided in two parts. The first one is a traditional living room furnished with a double size bed, a coffee table, a sofa, an armchair, a table and a console with upon it a cable TV and a stereo. It has also some built-in bookshelves and a large built-in closet.
The second part is a dining area. It is furnished with a dining table with its chairs and a desk.
The 8m² bedroom has a window, which opens onto a courtyard. It is furnished with a double size bed, a bedside table, a built-in closet and some bookshelves.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, a fridge, a freezer and a coffee maker.
The bathroom has a bathtub with a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilette. It has also a combo washer / dryer laundry machine.
The nearest metro station is Saint Michel (line 4 and RER C).
Heat and hot water use gas and are individually metered.
