Neighborhood:
This one-bedroom apartment is located in the 5th Arrondisement, in rue Xavier Privas, between rue Huchette and rue Saint-Severin.
The Quartier Latin is an ancient riverside quarter between the Seine and the Luxembourg Gardens. There are many famous institutes of learning in this area like La Sorbonne, which retains much of its old character. The Quartier Latin is covered with narrow, cobble streets dating back to the 13th century. There are all sorts of small food shops, restaurants, and supermarkets in the neighborhood. In addition, Place Maubert, with its open-air food market, is only a few steps away.
The closest metro station is Saint-Michel (line 4). This and RER B, C provide easy access to any part of Paris as well as to the two main airports, Charles de Gaulle and Orly.

The 59m2 duplex apartment with 2.20m ceilings on the first floor and 2.50m ceilings on the top floor is on the 2nd and 3rd floor of a 17th century walk-up building. 6 windows lighten the apartment all overlooking courtyards.

The entrance door opens into the bedroom (32m2). It has two windows facing north into a courtyard and one window facing south into a courtyard. It is furnished with a double bed, an armchair, a coffee table, a writing desk with a chair and two closets (one a walk-in).
The bathroom and the separate toilet are located on this floor.
The bathroom has a shower, a sink and a window facing south into the courtyard. The toilet is separate and comes with a sink.
Stairs lead to the upper floor, which is comprised of the living room and the kitchen.
The living room (32m2) is furnished with a sofa, a double sofa bed, a coffee table, a writing desk, a sideboard, book-shelves, and a decorative fireplace. There are two windows facing north into the courtyard. The dining area is furnished with a dining table and three chairs. This room also has a cable TV.
There is an air matress alows an extra person to sleep in the apartment.
High Speed Wireless internet is available.
The separate kitchen is fully equipped and has a window facing east into the courtyard. There is a window between the kitchen and the living room and a counter with two stools. The kitchen comes with an electric stove, a microwave, a refrigerator/ freezer, a washing machine and dryer, an electric kettle, a toaster and a coffee maker.
The closest metro is Saint-Michel (line 4) and RER B, C.
Heat and hot water are electric and individually metered.
