Neighborhood:
Les Halles area. It is close to the pedestrian Montorgueil Street, with its large choice of quality food products, restaurants and cafes, as well as other services. It is also very close to the Beaubourg modern art museum, the rue des Lombards Jazz clubs and of course the large underground mall of les Halles. It is also in a short walking distance to main points of interest such as the Seine River, to the Notre Dame Cathedral on Ile de la Cité, to the unique Ile Saint Louis, and to the majestic Louvre Museum. Close to the museum is the Jardin des Tuileries, one of the historic most known parks in Paris from which there is a fine view of the Obelisk on Place de la Concorde, the Champs Elysée and the Arc de Triomphe. It is a central area, very convenient to travel all around Paris.
Premises:
This 55m² one bedroom apartment is located on the first floor (second in the USA) of a 1930' "art deco" style building. A coded security system, an intercom, a concierge and a full-time video security system protect the main entrance gate. This gate opens onto a corridor, which leads to an interior courtyard. After crossing this courtyard, a glass door opens onto the staircase and the elevator.
The apartment has an eastern exposure.
Layout:
The entrance door opens onto a hallway leading straight ahead to the separate toilet and then to the living with its open kitchen. In the living room, a door gives an access to the bathroom and to the bedroom.
The 29m² living room has two windows overlooking the courtyard. It is furnished with a wooden dining table with its chairs, two sofas, a coffee table and a cupboard. This room has also a cable TV with a DVD player and a cable Internet access.
The open kitchen is separated from the living room by a bar with its stools. It is equipped with two electric burners, a combo microwave / traditional oven, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a coffee maker and a laundry machine.
The 11m² bedroom has a window, which opens onto the courtyard. It is furnished with a double size bed and a built-in closet.
The tiled bathroom has a bathtub with a showerhead and a washbasin surmounted by a mirror.
The separate toilet in the entrance hall has a small washbasin.
The nearest metro station is Etienne Marcel (line 4).
Heat is collective; water heater is electric and individually metered.
