This one-bedroom apartment is located in a small, select, street in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Près. One of the most attractive and historic districts of the Seine River's Left Bank, there are also several fine restaurants and historic cafes such as Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore, favorite haunts of famous French existentialists and expatriated American writers. Nearby is the new Marché Saint Germain (Fashion Market) and a few steps away rue de Buci features a special atmosphere with its open-air market. The neighborhood is also very famous for its refined art galleries and designer fashion shops. It is walking distance from the Ile de la Cité and the Ile Saint Louis.
Premises:
This 48m² (approx. 515 sq. ft.) duplex, one-bedroom apartment with a western exposure is located on the fourth floor (fifth in the USA) of a 17th century walk-up building. The street's main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system. It opens into a corridor leading to the building on the right. The apartment has air conditioning.
Layout:
The entrance door opens into the living room and the open kitchen. Upstairs are the bedroom area and the bathroom with a toilet.
The 25m² (approx. 265 sq. ft.) living room has two windows overlooking the courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, two coffee tables, two armchairs, a dining table with six matching chairs, a stereo, a phone, two chairs, three stools, a pouf, a chest of drawers and a console with a cable TV and a DVD player.
A DSL wireless internet connection is available.
The open kitchen has a window and is equipped with four vitro ceramic burners, a refrigerator, a freezer, a combo washer/dryer, a dishwasher, an oven, a microwave, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster.
The 10m² (approx. 107 sq. ft.) bedroom area (+ large space) has two skylights. It is furnished with a queen-size bed, a built-in closet, a desk, a chair, a phone and some shelves.
The bathroom has a window and a skylight. It is equipped with a shower, a washbasin and a toilet.
The nearest metro station is St Germain (L4).
Heat and hot water are both electric and individually metered.
