One-bedroom apartment between the Louvre and Saint Germain des Près areas
|
This charming and quiet one bedroom apartment is situated on rue des Beaux Arts, between rue de Seine and rue Bonaparte. It is a 5 minute walk from the Pont des Arts, which links the St Germain area to the Louvre, and 5 minutes from St Germain des Près, Les Deux Magots and the Café Flore.
The intellectual core of Paris, the Quartier Latin abounds with historical points of interest. The Seine, Notre Dame, and the Boulevard Saint Germain are within short walking distances; a block and a half away is the Sorbonne. The neighborhood's elegant, trendy streets are filled with art galleries, stylish fashion shops, antique shops, sophisticated and traditional restaurants, and cinemas, as well as open air markets and normal services such as supermarkets.
Premises:
The 50m² (approx. 530 sq. ft.) apartment faces west over courtyards, gardens and Paris roofs and is peaceful, bright, and newly renovated. It is on the fourth floor of a 19th century building and has an elevator.
Layout:
The entrance door opens directly into the open kitchen. Straight ahead is the living room and on the right are the bathroom and the separate toilet. The bedroom is accessible through the living room.
The 24 m² (approx. 258 sq. ft.) living room has a parquet floor and a double-glazed window with an open view on the neighborhood. It is furnished with a sofa, two armchairs, coffee table, dining table with folding chairs, and built-in bookshelves and closet. There is a flat screen cable TV, a CD and DVD player with surround sound, and a queen size Murphy bed.
The separate kitchen is equipped with four vitro-ceramic burners, an oven, a microwave oven, a refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a toaster and a kettle. Cabinets are by Leicht, the work surface is granite, and the floor has traditional tommette tiles. There is also a window and extractor fan.
The 16m² (approx. 170 sq. ft.) bedroom has a parquet floor, a window overlooking the courtyard, and a wall of built-in closets. The bed is queen sized, and there is a desk with telephone and cable modem for a high speed internet connection.
The marble bathroom has a window, and is equipped with a shower, a washbasin, a heated towel rail, a washing machine and a dryer. The separate toilet has its own window.
Windows have wood shutters as well as curtains. The gas heat is regulated with thermostats on each radiator as well as hot water controls on the boiler.
The nearest metro station is Saint Germain (line 4).
