Neighborhood:
One of the most famous French monuments, the Hotel Royal des Invalides was built under Louis XIV and is a masterpiece of 17th century architecture. It houses the Army Museum, the Contemporary History Museum, the Libération Association Museum, and the Plans et Relieves Museum. It is also close to the majestic Eiffel Tower facing the splendid Champ de Mars with its beautiful floral gardens, to the Seine, and to Trocadero Place. The neighborhood offers elegant fashion boutiques and convenience shops and a number of select restaurants and cafes.
Premises:
This 24m˛ (approx. 255 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the first floor (second in the USA) of a 20th century walk-up building. A coded security system protects the main entrance gate that opens into a courtyard. The building, straight ahead, is protected by another coded security system.
Layout:
The entrance door opens into the open kitchen; to the right is the living room and straight ahead is the bathroom with a toilet.
The 11m˛ (approx. 115 sq. ft.) living room has a window facing the courtyard with an eastern exposure. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, an extra single-size sofa bed, a table with a chair, a flat screen TV, and a built-in closet.
The open eat-in kitchen has a window and is furnished with a dining table with two benches, four vitro ceramic burners, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave, an oven, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster.
The bathroom is equipped with a shower, a combo washer/dryer, a toilet and a washbasin.
The nearest metro station is Invalides (L8, 13, RER C).
Heat and hot water are both electric and individually metered.
