Studio apartment in the heart of the Marais
|
Neighborhood:
This studio is located in the Fourth Arrondissement on rue du Bourg Tibourg, between rue de la Verrerie, rue du Roi de Sicile and rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie. This area is in high demand because almost all of its pre-Revolutionary architecture has been preserved. It is home to a substantial number of points of interest such as museums, art galleries, design shops, and diverse, trendy bars and restaurants. Also in this area is the Place des Vosges, hailed for the harmony of its architecture. Surrounded by all sorts of convenience shops, this area is close to Bastille Place with its cafes, restaurants and nightclubs and the Seine River with the Ile de la Cité and the Ile St-Louis. Premises:
This 28m² (approx. 300 sq. ft.) studio apartment with 3.30m (approx. 10.83 ft.) ceilings is on the first floor (second in the USA) of a walk-up, late 17th century building. It is protected by a digicode and an intercom. The apartment has a western exposure.
Layout:
The entrance door opens into a hallway. To the right are the living room and the open kitchen. The bathroom is accessible through the living room.
The 17m² (approx. 180 sq. ft.) living room is decorated in an eclectic style. It has an old style window, which overlooks a small courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a closet, a chest of drawers, a chest (containing the cable TV), a folding dining table with chairs, a sideboard with a stereo. There is a mezzanine area, accessible by a nice wrought iron staircase, furnished with a double-size mattress on the floor and a bedside table. The apartment has a high speed Internet connection and a phone restricted to reception calls.
An original characteristic of this apartment is that the kitchenette is separated from the living room by nice off-white closet doors, so that you don't see it when it is closed. It is equipped with a small refrigerator, two vitro-ceramic burners, a small dishwasher, a microwave oven, a coffee maker, a toaster and a kettle. The different cabinets above and under the worktop contain all the necessary utensils. The washing machine is located in a closet next to the kitchenette.
The tiled bathroom is equipped with a shower cabin, a washbasin and a toilet.
The nearest metro station is Hotel de Ville (line 1, 11, 14) and St Paul (line 1).
An electrical old fashion British heater with fake flames gives heat.
The water heater is electric and individually metered.
