Description
1 Bedroom Apartment Rental in Montorgueil, Le Louvre - Les Halles - Châtelet (PA-3155)
1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, 1 Half Bathroom - Sleeps 2

Comfortable, efficient and spacious living in the heart of Paris with this one bedroom apartment of approximately 62sqm (667sqft) in the Quartier Montorgueil of the 1st arrondissement!

The one bedroom apartment is located on Rue Montorgueil, between Rue de Turbigo and Rue Etienne Marcel. It sits on the 3rd French floor (considered 4th in U.S.) of a 6-story 18th century walk-up building. For security and convenience, an intercom system controls access to the building. Residents are issued both keys and electronic fobs for entry.

Classic features of the apartment include hardwood floors, exposed wood beam ceilings, and large French double-pane windows that brighten the interior with morning to afternoon sun. In the living room, windows look out over the street, neighboring buildings, cafes and bistros. Bookshelves and cupboards built into one entire wall hold literature, stereo system, a printer/scanner and various other items. A small, decorative fireplace adds charm to the environment. A sofa, flat-screen television with cable and DVD player, and a desk for workspace are provided, in addition to a wide-screen monitor, I-Pod/I-Phone player, and ultra hi-speed fiber optic wireless internet.

Attached to the living room is a modern, galley-style kitchen, complete with basic cooking appliances and an adjoining dining area. Here, tenants will find a dishwasher and a laundry washer/dryer for daily convenience. Finally, the bedroom spans approximately 12sqm (129sqft). It offers an alcove with desk, drawers and shelving for workspace, a double bed, a lot of closet space and stairs leading to an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom is equipped with a full-sized tub/shower. There is also a second half-bathroom with just a toilet and small sink located in the hallway by the main door.

Located in the area known as Montorgueil-St Denis of the 1st and 2nd arrondissements, this apartment is ideally situated in a large pedestrian expanse near a hub of world-famous attractions and architecture. Tenants will be just steps from Eglise Saint-Eustache (140m/463ft), considered by many to be a church of royalty. A bit further is the world-renowned Louvre Museum (900m/0.6mi), the most frequented museum in the world! Also located within walking distance are the Pompidou Center, the Seine river and Le Marais. Both the Latin Quarter and St Germain are a quick walk across the river or an even speedier hop on the metro. We suggest shopping at Forum des Halles (230m/0.1mi), soaking in the sun at Jardin Nelson Mandela (140m/472ft), and touring the natural island on the Seine River, Ile de la Cité (1.4km/0.9mi). For drinks, food and merriment, check out the bars on your street -- Rue Montorgueil!

The apartment is very nice, very well-located in a central area with lots of shops, a market, restaurants and bars. It is a bit noisy as it is located in a very busy street, but it is still pleasant. Robert, the owner, is very adaptable and welcoming, he can help you if needed.

I rented this apartment for four months this past year and I absolutely ADORED it! I actually started crying when I moved out because I loved this apartment so much. First of all, the location is perfect especially if you're younger because you're right in the middle of Paris and surrounded by plenty of fun restaurants, bars, and shopping. The apartment itself is really spacious and comfortable. Most of my friends were amazed by how big it is because it's so hard to find an apartment of that size in Paris. My favorite part of the apartment was the kitchen. I love to cook so I spent a lot of time in the kitchen and it has everything you could possibly need to cook a nice meal. I was actually able to cook a full Thanksgiving meal for 14 people in that kitchen. The apartment also comes equipped with a dish washer, washer, and dryer which were extremely convenient and saved me a lot of time.

The owner of the apartment is also very nice and was very easy to deal with. If I ever had a problem I could quickly email him and he also responded within a day.

There were only a few downsides to the place but they were heavily outweighed by all the positive qualities of the apartment. First, the apartment is located on a busy street so you do hear a bit of street noise every now and then especially on Friday and Saturday nights. You can also hear the mumbling of the RER and metro lines passing by during during the night but I got used to that real quickly. Also the bed is perfect if you're just one person but it is a little small for a couple. I lived with my boyfriend and I usually opted to sleep on the couch because the bed was too small for the both of us. But when he was gone I slept very comfortably on the bed.

All in all I would absolutely recommend this apartment and living here during my time in France made my experience so much better.
