One Bedroom apartment in the heart of the Quartier Montorgueil

Neighborhood: Located in the Rue Montorgueil between Rue Etienne Marcel and Rue de Turbigo, this one-bedroom apartment looks out over one of the most sought-after streets of central Paris. Brimming with alluring shops, outdoor cafes and bistros, the vibrant market ambiance and never-ending flow of people in the rue Montorgueil is truly what Parisian living is about. Whether you're in search of a fresh croissant in the morning, a crowded café at cocktail hour or a great meal late at night, the neighborhood abounds in possibilities. For entertainment or culture, one doesn't have to go far: jazz clubs, movies, live theatre, eclectic bars and of course, the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay and the Centre Pompidou are all a short walk away. Within minutes, stroll to the Seine and across the Pont des Arts to St. Germain des Pres or through the Place des Victoires toward l'Opera or head the other direction for a wonderful excursion through the Marais. Premises: This 65 m² (approx. 695 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the third floor of a walk-up building from the late 18th century. The 25m² (approx. 269 sq. ft.) living room has two double-glazed windows with an eastern exposure that overlook the cobblestone pedestrian street. It has exposed ceiling beams, oak floor and sisal area rug. Furnishings include a large sofa, multiple tables, two leather armchairs, bookshelves, a table and a decorative fireplace. Electronics include high-speed wireless Internet, a cordless phone/answering system, satellite TV, DVD player and stereo. One entire wall of the living room incorporates a large custom bookcase with many cupboards and shelves along with a library of reading and reference material. The open kitchen is stylish & contemporary with white tile floors and countertops. It is equipped with two gas burners and two electric burners, an oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker and toaster. There is also a recessed dining area with table and chairs. The 12m² (approx. 125 sq. ft.) bedroom has two double glazed windows with Levolor type blinds and a western exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a double bed and two bedside tables with lamps. A recessed alcove houses a convenient work area with desk, drawers and shelves. There are two ample closets and two upper storage areas. The open bathroom is accessible from the bedroom by two small steps. It is equipped with a spacious bathtub with personal shower and shelving for bath products. The sink is incorporated into a small alcove with additional storage and shelving. A separate unit incorporates yet more drawers as well as a built in laundry bin. This bright, well illuminated space is tiled in white from floor to ceiling with attractive wood accents and towel racks. The toilet facilities are located in a separate room off the main hallway and include a small washbasin. Storage and closet space is abundant with two large closets in the main hallway with large enclosed storage above each and several lower enclosed storage areas incorporated into dead space in the walls. Transportation: This is certainly one of the most convenient locations in Paris for public transport. Just around the corner from the Les Halles metro and express RER lines that lead directly to both airports and all major train stations. The Chatelet metro station (lines 1, 4, 7, 11, 14 ) is a short walk and numerous bus lines including the all-night "Noctilien" service the neighborhood. Heat and hot water are both electric and individually metered.
