One-bedroom apartment in the heart of the Quartier Latin
|
Neighborhood:
The intellectual core of Paris, the Quartier Latin abounds with historical points of interest such as the Sainte Chapelle, the Law Courts (built under Saint Louis from 1241 to 1248), Cluny's Thermae (from the third century) Hotel (from the 15th century) and Museum (from the 19th century), among others. In addition, the Seine, Notre Dame, and the Boulevard Saint-Germain are in short walking distance and a block and a half away is the Sorbonne. A large variety of nice shops, celebrated restaurants and cafes, cinemas, plus basic services such as supermarkets are in this neighborhood.
Premises:
This 55m² (approx 590 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the fifth and top floor of a recently renovated building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and it opens into a paved courtyard. This leads to a glass door protected by an intercom, which opens into the corridor with the elevator. The apartment is north exposed and has an Internet connection.
The entrance door opens directly into the 35m² (approx. 375 sq. ft.) living room, which is furnished with a sofa bed, two armchairs, a coffee table, a sideboard, a closet, and a dining table and chairs. This room is equipped with a TV and a phone. It is decorated in an antique style and highlighted by exposed beams. The French doors open onto a small balcony overlooking the courtyard.
Behind a bar is the open kitchen, which contains four vitro-ceramic burners topped by a cooker hood, an electric oven, a microwave oven, a refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, a combo washer/dryer, a kettle, a toaster and a coffee maker. There is also a walk-in closet.
The 10m² (approx. 105 sq. ft.) bedroom has a window, which overlooks the courtyard. It is furnished with two single-size beds (which can be turned into a queen-size bed), two bedside tables, and a built-in closet.
The tiled bathroom is equipped with a tub, a washbasin and a toilette. It is accessible via the living room or the bedroom
The spiral staircase in the living room leads to an extra storage place. A very low ceiling makes it difficult to access this room.
Heat and hot water are both electric.
The nearest metro station is Cluny - La Sorbonne (line 10).
