Neighborhood:
This apartment is located in the heart of Paris near the storied and trendy Marais area. The neighborhood is commercial and residential with diverse restaurants, bars and shops. It is also walking distance to some primary Parisian cultural sites such as the Louvre, the George Pompidou and Notre Dame. In this lively neighborhood are the Montorgueil, the Halles and Temple markets, bars, clubs, restaurants as well as boutiques and specialty stores.
Premises:
This 40m² (approx. 430 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the fourth floor (fifth in the USA) of a 19th century walk-up building. The main entrance gate, protected by a coded security system, opens into a corridor leading to a glass door with an intercom. This opens to a paved courtyard with an old-fashioned staircase.
The 20m² (approx. 215 sq. ft.) living room has a parquet floor, two double-glazed windows, and a French door that accesses a balcony overlooking the street. The exposure is south. The living room is decorated in a contemporary style and is furnished with two single-size beds (which are used as a corner couch), a coffee table, a round dining table with chairs, and a cabinet. This room is equipped with cable TV, a DVD player and an Internet connection.
The open kitchen links the entrance door to the living room. It is equipped with two vitro-ceramic burners topped by a cooker hood, a microwave, a refrigerator, a freezer, a dishwasher, a dryer, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster. The washing machine is located in a built-in closet next to the entrance door.
The 9m² (approx. 95 sq. ft.) bedroom is accessible via a sliding door from the entrance corridor and after a step. This room is furnished with a queen-size bed, two bedside tables and an antique-style cabinet. It also has two windows overlooking the courtyard with a northern exposure.
The bathroom is accessed through the bedroom. It is tiled and equipped with a shower, a washbasin, a toilette and an electric towel-drying rack.
Heat and hot water are electric and individually metered.
The nearest metro station is Temple (line 3).
