Two-bedroom apartment facing the Rue Montorgueil

Neighborhood: This apartment is located on a pedestrian residential and commercial street, Rue Montorgueil. It is one of the most colorful places in Paris with many traditional shops such as bakeries, butchers, and a fishmonger, as well as many restaurants and cafes. In less than five minutes walking distance is the St. Eustache church, leading to the modernistic Forum de Halles and its lovely garden. All roads around Les Halles resolutely lead to the Beaubourg area and the Pompidou Centre, an avant-garde structure and one of Paris' most visible buildings. Les Halles was known for its meat, vegetable and fruit market dating back to 1183, but traffic congestion forced the market to move to the suburbs in the 1960s. There are all sorts of essential shops and services in the neighborhood. Premises: This 75m² (approx. 805 sq. ft.) two-bedroom apartment is located on the third floor of a totally renovated 1780s building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system at night, since it is shared with a school entrance. This gate leads to the entrance door, which has an intercom, and opens into the staircase and the elevator. The apartment has high ceilings (3.20m - 10.50 ft), a parquet floor and western exposure. The 28m² (approx. 300 sq. ft.) living room has two large triple-glazed windows that overlook Montorgueil Street. It is furnished with a leather sofa bed, a coffee table, an armchair, a round dining table with chairs, a desk, a shelf with cable TV and a DVD player. There is also a high-speed wireless Internet connection, a phone, a stereo and a portable air conditioner. The modern open kitchen is equipped with four gas burners topped by a cooker hood, an oven, a refrigerator, a freezer, a microwave, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a toaster, a kettle and all the necessary cooking utensils. The bedrooms each have a triple-glazed window with blinds with the same view as the living room. The 14m² (approx. 150 sq. ft.) first bedroom is furnished with a double-size bed, two bedside tables, a chest of drawers, a desk, a cabinet and built-in bookshelves and closets. This room is also equipped with a phone, aTV and DVD player. The 14m² (approx. 150 sq. ft.) second bedroom is furnished with two single-size beds that can be turned into a queen-size bed, two bedside tables, a phone, a chest of drawers and built-in closets and bookshelves. The bathroom contains a bathtub with a showerhead, a washbasin, an electric towel-drying rack, a washing machine and a dryer. The toilette is separate. Heat and hot water are collective with the building. The nearest station is Sentier (line 3) or Etienne Marcel (line 4).
