In this neighborhood are the most up-to-date fashion shops, antique shops, art galleries, fine restaurants and cafes, theaters and cinemas, as well as excellent quality services such as the well-known daily Buci open-air market, bakeries with their delicious French baguettes, and supermarkets. It is a short walk to the Seine River and the delightful Ile Saint Louis, and not far from the ravishing Luxembourg Garden.
This apartment faces the last building designed by Charles Garnier, the architect of the famous Opéra Garnier located on the top of the rue de la Paix.
Premise:
This 30m² (approx. 320 sq. ft.) one bedroom apartment is located on the fourth floor of an 18th century walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and opens to a small courtyard. From there, a second door leads to an old-fashioned wooden staircase.
The entrance door opens into a narrow corridor that is used as an open kitchen. This leads to the main room and, in an alcove, the sleeping area. The bathroom is accessed through the bedroom area.
The 15m² living room has two double-glazed windows with blinds overlooking the street; there is an eastern exposure. The room is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a coffee table, a console with a TV and a VCR, bookshelves, a built-in closet with mirrored sliding doors and a dining table with chairs.
The 10m² bedroom is separated from the living room by a sliding door and haswith a small window overlooking the courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size bed and two bedside tables. Hidden by two wooden folding doors is the bathroom with a bathtub and a washbasin.
The owner lives upstairs, his wireless high speed internet connection is shared.
The open kitchen is equipped with an oven that can be used as a rotisserie, two electric vitro ceramic burners, a microwave, a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment, and a combo washer/dryer.
The toilette is separate and accessible through the entrance hallway.
Heat and hot water are both electric and individually metered.
The nearest metro station is Odéon (lines 4,10).
