Neighborhood:
In the Montparnasse area and the bordering streets of the 6th Arrondissement are nice fashion shops and a diversity of restaurants and cafes. This furnished apartment borders the area of the Invalides, which starts at the sprawling 18th century buildings of the Ecole Militaire, followed by the Parc du Champs de Mars which stretches down to the Eiffel Tower and the Seine. This residential area is the home of Paris' tallest office tower, the Tour Montparnasse. It is also known for the Rue de la Gaité the heart of Paris' theater district. Close by is the Institute Pasteur, founded by the world-renowned scientist Louis Pasteur and France's leading medical research center.
Premises:
This 65m² (approx. 695 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the fourth floor of a 1970s building. A coded system, an intercom and a concierge protect the main entrance gate. The building has an elevator.
The apartment has a long balcony (10m² - 105 sq. ft.) overlooking the street and offering a view of the Eiffel Tower; it is west exposed.
The entrance opens into a hall that leads to the living room, the open kitchen and a hallway that links the bedroom, the dressing area and the bathroom.
The 32m² (approx. 340 sq. ft.) L-shaped living room has a parquet floor and two double-glazed sliding windows with rolling shutters that give access to the balcony. It is furnished with a sofa, a coffee table, armchairs, and a console with a flat-screen cable TV with a DVD player. In the second part of the living room is a double-size sofa bed, a desk and a cabinet. This room has a phone and high-speed DSL Internet access (a wireless connection is also available).
The well-equipped open kitchen contains four vitro ceramic burners topped by a cooker hood, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a toaster, a refrigerator, a freezer and a washing machine.
The 10m² (approx. 105 sq. ft.) bedroom has a double-glazed sliding door with rolling shutters that opens onto the balcony. It is furnished with a double-size bed, bedside tables and a cabinet.
The tiled bathroom contains a shower, a washbasin and a toilette.
The dressing area has wardrobes and shelves.
There is also a separate toilette next to the entrance door.
Heat and hot water are collective with the building.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is Pasteur (line 12).
