This furnished one-bedroom apartment is situated on Rue Mazarine between Rue Jacques Cariot and Rue de Buci in the the world famous Saint Germain des Près. This is one of the most attractive and historic areas on the Left Bank, and features a number of the latest fashion boutiques and the famous Cafés "Les Deux Magots" and "Café de Flore," both of which were favorite haunts of existentialists and expatriated American literati back in the day. In addition, this accommodation is close to the oldest restaurant in Paris, "Le Procope," which offers traditional French specialties and excellent fresh seafood, and was patronized by Voltaire in the 18th century. The charming and select Buci open-air market is only a few steps away.
Premises:
This 45m² (approx. 484 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the third floor of a 17th-century walk-up building. The entrance gate with a coded security system opens into a corridor, from where a second gate with an intercom opens onto the stairway.
The entrance door opens into a corridor that allows access to the living room and open kitchen, and the bedroom. The separate bathroom can be accessed from the living room and the bedroom.
The 25m² (approx. 269 sq. ft.) living room with exposed beams has two double-glazed windows with eastern exposure overlooking the street. It is furnished with a queen-size sofa bed, a contemporary coffee table, a dining table with chairs, a desk with chair, and a few bookshelves. It is equipped with a laptop, a flatscreen television, and a DVD-player.
The open kitchen has four induction plates topped by an exhaust fan, an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a coffee-maker, a kettle, and a toaster. There is also a combination washing machine/dryer.
The 10m² (approx. 108 sq. ft.) bedroom has a window with western exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with two single beds that can be put together, two bedside tables, a stereo, and a closet.
The separate bathroom has a shower topped by a showerhead, a washbasin, and a toilet. There is also a towel dryer.
Heat and hot water are both electric.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is Odéon (line 4,10).
