Neighborhood: This furnished studio is located between Rue Maurice Utrillo and Rue Paul Albert. It is situated in the heart of Montmartre on Rue Lamarck, a street with a lot of diverse food shops, as well as plenty of restaurants and cafes. The studio faces the monumental Sacre-Coeur Basilica and a few steps away is the Place des Abesses, one of Paris'most picturesque squares. Renowned artists like Berlioz and Picasso lived and worked in this district and their unconventional lifestyle is kept alive by a number of Montmartre residents today. There is a panoramic view of Paris from the Sacred Heart Basilica promenade, and the charming Place du Tertre is a must-see. Premises: This 40m² (approx. 430 sq.ft.) furnished studio is located on the 4th floor (5th in the USA) of a 19th century building with an elevator. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded system and opens into a hall. Then, there is a second door protected by an intercom leading to the concierge's office and the staircase. The entry door opens into the main room. On the right-hand side is the main room and on the left-hand side are the open kitchen and the bathroom. The 30m² (approx. 320 sq. ft.) main room has parquet floor and a window overlooks the basilica. It is furnished with a double size bed with two bedside tables. It is also furnished with a double size sofa bed, two small wooden coffee tables, a console (or a folding table for six people) and a decorative fireplace. It is also equipped with a TV. In the entrance, there are also three built in closets. The open kitchen is equipped with two electric plates, two gas plates, a microwave, a coffee maker, a dishwasher, a toaster, a fridge, a kettle and a table with 2 chairs. It has also a bar with two stools and a window. The bathroom is accessible by the kitchen and is fitted with a shower, a washbasin and a heated towel rack. The separate toilet has a washbasin. Heat and hot water use gas and are individual. For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is "Chateau Rouge"(line 4).
