Charming and cosy apartment near the luxembourg garden
|
Comfortable and quiet one bedroom apartment situated on the famous Place St. André Des Arts in the heart of St. Michel neighborhood, between the Boulevard and the Quai Saint Michel.
Though being placed in the heart of the Latin Quarter just a few meters from the Seine river and the Notre-Dame Cathedral, this 54m2 apartment is very quiet thanks to its great location and its exposure onto a calm courtyard.
You will have the advantage of being in the famous intellectual and dynamic core of Paris but having the calm and comfort in the apartment itself.
The intellectual core of Paris, the Quartier Latin, abounds with many points of historical interest such as 'Sainte Chapelle' in the Law Courts, built under Saint Louis from 1241 to 1248, 'Cluny's' Thermae (from the 3rd century) Hotel (from the 15th century) and Museum (from the19th century), among others. In addition the Seine River, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Boulevard Saint Germain are a very short walking distance and, a block and a half away, is the Sorbonne University. A large variety of shops, celebrated restaurants and cafes, and cinemas, as well as basic services such as supermarkets are found all around this neighborhood.
A cozy nest with the charm of some genuine wooden beams this one-bedroom apartment is located on the 2nd French floor of an end of 18th century walk-up building having a security system and an intercom. Entirely refurbished, having off-white and yellow walls, a hardwood floor, rugs, a decorative fireplace, windows facing a narrow courtyard, and enough bedding for 4 people.
Right after the main door the 24m2 living room is furnished with an oblong wooden dining table and 4 matching chairs, a double sofa bed and a 17th century cobbler's bench as coffee table. Here there is also a 'Henri IV' round-topped chest, a Colonial Colombian country side chair and chamois rug, a full-length mirror, a cable TV with DVD, a Hi Fi stereo, and two windows with white curtains. There are two fans available.
The bedroom has 2 single beds put side by side making a queen size bed, with bedside tables and lamps, a large built-in closet with wardrobe, a desk, two bookshelves, bedside rugs, and a window with curtains facing the calm courtyard. You will find everything in the bedroom as far as pillows, sheets, towels, iron board, hoover, and useful manuals are concerned.
Off white painted and Red Roman style tiled, the fully equipped and functional kitchen has a window and a folding table. It contains three gas burners and an electric burner, an electric oven with an extractor, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a small dishwasher, a washing-drying machine and a double ceramic sink. Many cupboards containing the necessary kitchen utensils (electric kettle, toaster, electric coffee-maker) are under and over the little tiled worktop.
Internet access available in this apartment.
The marble tiled bathroom is composed of a bathtub with a wall-mounted shower protected by a plastic curtain, a round washbasin with mosaic, and a normal and magnifying mirror. Elements such as hair dryer, iron, a vacuum cleaner, and others are also provided. The restroom is independent and tiled.
There are several bus lines serving running through most of the strategic points of the city. In addition, two very close metro stations: Saint Michel (line 4 and the RER 'B' & 'C') and Odéon.
