Conveniently situated nearest the bed is a bathroom and the open kitchen is down the hall, with its own window and plenty of cabinets for storage. With an oven, dishwasher and four burners, it's easy to cook extensive meals. There's also a combination washer-dryer for convenient laundry.
While the Place de la Republique area is not in the epicenter of Paris, it isn’t in the outskirts either, and it is very close to many convenient transit and plenty of shops and restaurants, as well as the historic theatre district! This is the ideal section of Paris for people wishing to live like (and among) native Parisians while staying close to Paris’s most beloved tourist attractions. - Boulevard Saint Martin, less than 200 meters (approx. 0.1 mile) from the apartment, holds several classic theatres like the Théâtre de le Renaissance and the Theatre de la Porte Saint-Martin
- Canal Saint-Martin, a picturesque waterway abou 750 meters (1/2 mile) east of the apartment, lovely for strolls or enjoying the nice weather on a bench
- Gare De L’est : when you need to leave Paris or reach the suburbs, this is the nearest station (700m/0.4mi)
- Rue de Faubourg-Saint-Denis, just two streets west, this is a pleasant street with many restaurants and cafes
Many public transportation options are available (within walking distance) to take you around Paris:
- The 4, 8, or 9 Lines at Strasbourg-Saint-Denis metro station (250m/0.2mi) - this will take you to the Ile de la Cité and the famed Notre Dame cathedral, as well as to the left bank of the Seine
- The 3, 5, 8, 9, or 11 Lines at République metro station (750m/0.5mi), convenient for accessing the trendy Oberkampf area
- The 5 Line at Jacques Bonsergent metro station (550m/0.4mi).
- The 4 Line at Château d'Eau metro station (300m/0.2mi).
