Situated on the Seine River, this furnished two bedroom houseboat is in an exceptional setting of greenery, facing the Ile de la Jatte, which served as inspiration for impressionist painters. It is in the affluent Neuilly Sur Seine area in the suburbs of Paris. The two-story, 120 m²-unit (1290 sqf) with an east-west exposure was built in 1989, entirely done in noble wood with mahogany paneling.
On the lower level, you'll find a living area-furnished with a double sofa bed-that opens onto a kitchen, which is equipped with a fridge-freezer, burners, and an oven, as well as a practical dishwasher. Additionally, it has all the main cooking and eating utensils you'll need to prepare and enjoy your meals. Also on this floor is a second living space/ home office that contains a desk and chair, allowing you to easily work from home; there is also a television for entertainment. There is a small room near the entrance with a WC and washbasin. Several windows throughout the apartment allow in the natural light and offer lovely views of the beautiful backdrop. You can sunbathe and dine alfresco on the lovely terrace with its potted plants and outdoor furniture, as you watch the swans and ducks swimming in the river.
The two bedrooms are on the upper level. The first contains a double bed and flat-screen TV with cable, while the second has a queen-size bed; both have closet space where you can store your personal belongings. In between both rooms is a bathroom with washbasin, WC, bathtub and separate shower stall. A separate toilet is found across the hall. Furthermore, you can conveniently do your laundry at home, since there is a washing machine on this floor. A storage room is also offered.
You can find the duplex houseboat tucked away in between the Boulevard Général Leclerc & Boulevard d'Argenson in the 21st arrondissement of Paris. You'll love the peaceful surroundings with stone paths and weeping willow trees-perfect for a relaxing getaway-although still within close proximity of the city center. The closest subways stations are Pont de Neuilly (900 m / 0.55 miles ) and Esplanade de La Défense (1.5 km / 0.9 miles), both on Line 1, a main line that runs east-west through Paris and offers easy transfers to all other lines. The owner recommends several neighborhood restaurants within walking distance in the Neuilly Sur Seine area. Among them are La Guingette de Neuilly, Café de la Jatte, Le Petit Poucet, and the Rostang corner bistro.
