This one bedroom apartment, located on the top floor of a walk up building in the 20th district of Paris is fully furnished with a full kitchen, bathroom and balcony. Five stories (six American floors) above the quiet pedestrian street, you can see the beautiful Ménilmontant church out of the two south-facing windows, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. The real gem here is the balcony, already set up with a small table and two chairs. You'll love waking up in the morning and having a coffee while looking out over Paris. When you're inside, the floor to ceiling French doors let in so much light, you'll forget you're even inside! You can count on the security and calm of the apartment which is protected by a digicode security system at the exterior door. Please note that this is a walk-up building.
It's the small touches that make this one bedroom feel like a real Parisian apartment. The parquet flooring, a hundred years old, has been recently refurbished (2011) and the ceilings have a traditional molding pattern. The symbols of French "savoir vivre" such as the real fireplaces and the large French doors in the bedroom and living room add a touch of class to this homey apartment. There are many amenities that you can take advantage of, making even the shortest stay comfortable and easy:
In the heart of Ménilmontant just next to the beautiful Parc de Belleville, famous for its stunning views of Paris, this apartment is surrounded by an exciting and close-knit neighborhood. Close by is the Belleville area, known for its diverse cuisine, particularly Chinese and Vietnamese food, and its vibrant immigrant community. One of the trendiest and best known up-and-coming neighborhoods of Paris, there's plenty to do and see just steps outside the door. Among the most famous sights in Paris, the Père Lachaise Cemetery, is just 1.3 kilometers (0.8 miles) away. Graves like those of Jim Morrisson, Oscar Wilde and thousands more lovers of Paris make up this enormous cemetery. If you want something more lively, the rue Oberkampf, the most famous bar street in Paris, is just a few streets away. The rest of Paris is easily accessible by metro, with two stations (Couronnes and Ménilmontant) located just a few hundred meters (about five minutes) away. The closest line, the 2, goes halfway around Paris, providing excellent access to the entire Right Bank of the Seine.
