A perfect rental for someone looking to stay in Paris on a budget without sacrificing any amenities, this fully furnished studio apartment is located near the corner of Rue Léon Frot and Rue de Belfort in Gambetta Pere Lachaise, Paris of the 11th arrondissement. The rental accommodation is just off the courtyard on the ground floor of a 20th century building protected by a digicode security system.
At around 23 square meters (247 sq ft), this studio has two rooms, the main living/bedroom and the kitchen, which are separated by an open doorframe in the center of the apartment. After entering through the kitchen, you'll find the eat-in-kitchen dining space and all of the necessary appliances for preparing and serving meals at home, including a toaster over, electric cook surface, refrigerator and microwave. There is also a washing machine for your convenience, making this an ideal rental for longer stays in Paris. The kitchen' glass-panelled ceilings let in light and give the studio a spacious feel.
In the main room, you'll find a sofa bed with space for two, an armchair and a carpet, protecting the parquet flooring present throughout the apartment. The bathroom contains a shower and a sink, while a separate toilet room (WC) is located next to the kitchen.
This is a historic area of Paris, once home to some of the city's most notorious prisons at the Square de la Roquette, now a public park just four blocks (350 m) from your door. The nearby Boulevard Voltaire is a picturesque tree-lined avenue and a major street with many stores where you can find groceries, supplies and shopping opportunities. The Bastille neighborhood to the west of the apartment is known as one of the prime nightlife districts in Paris, with many bars catering to all kinds of tastes. The République neighborhood is also nearby.
Some of Paris's major tourist destinations are also close by, notably the Père Lachaise Cemetery, five blocks or 600 m northeast of the building. Here, you'll find the graves of famous figures from Honoré de Balzac, novelist to Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison, expatriate lovers of Paris. Have an authentic French experience at the Marché de la Bastille, held every Sunday on the Boulevard Richard Lenoir, 1.3 km (15 minutes) from the apartment.
The nearest metro station is Charonne on the 9 line, just 350 m (4 minutes) away. The Philippe-Auguste stop on line 2 is also close, only 500 m (5 minutes) from your door. Both lines cross the city in an east-west direction and make travelling easy no matter the destination.
