Ever dreamed of taking your morning coffee on a little private balcony just outside your window with the Eiffel Tower as a view? This may be the place you’ve been dreaming of! This one bedroom furnished apartment is a perfect home-away-from-home with its neat modern style, convenient amenities and a window in every room. The 36 sqm (387 sq ft) one bedroom rental accommodation is located on the sixth floor of six (seventh of seven in the US numbering system) of a walk-up building (with no elevator) at rue de la Sablière and rue des Plantes in Paris’s 14th arrondissement.
The living room is home to a sofa, small dining table and chairs, and two large French doors opening onto your own slice of Paris life : a petit balcon with a comfy little table for four. Hardwood floors add a touch of warmth to the modern space, which has walls lined with shelves to provide all the storage you’ll need.
The separate eat-in kitchen has all the basic cooking amenities you’ll need to cook and eat right at home, including a refrigerator, sink and a small gas stovetop, as well as a window for light and ventilation. The adjacent bedroom is furnished with more built-in wall storage and a double bed right next to the large windows, which let in lots of light.
See a whole new side of Paris as you get to know your new neighborhood, located between the Tour Montparnasse (1.3km/.8mi), Paris’s only skyscraper; Place Denfert-Rochereau (.950m/.6mi), home to the infamous Catacombes de Paris; and the reclaimed park along the Petite Ceinture (750m/.5mi), an abandoned rail line that encircled the city. Take advantage of the area’s cultural sites, well off the tourist track: the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain (1km/.6mi) or cinemas like Le Gaumont Mistral (450m/.3mi), which is over 100 years old!
The rest of Paris, from Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame, is just a short ride away on the metro. The closest stations are: Pernety (line 13, 550m/.3mi), Mouton-Duvernet (line 4, 550m/.3mi) and Alésia (line 4, 500m/.3mi).
