If you’ve ever dreamed of living at the very heart of Paris on the famous islands of the Seine River, then this furnished studio apartment on the Ile Saint-louis may be the perfect place for you! The rental accommodation is located on the fifth floor (considered sixth in the US) of a digicode system-protected five story walk-up (no elevator) building near the intersection of Rue Le Regrattier & Rue Saint-Louis en l'Île in the 4th arrondissement of Paris.
This apartment really makes the most of valuable Paris space, with the main area's combination living room-kitchen and a mezzanine bed. This living area is made up of a sofa facing a TV, a desk and office chair and a full kitchen including an oven, sink, electric cook surface, fridge, microwave and even a washing machine, along with plenty of cabinet space.
The sleeping area is located in a mezzanine above the rest of the apartment, accessible only by a stepladder. The double bed is accompanied by a fan, which along with the window in the kitchen provides ventilation.
The best of central Paris on both the right and left banks of the Seine is at your disposal with this apartment! Here are just some of the prime activities nearby:
- It’s just a few steps to the green Square Jean XXIII (350m/.2mi), famously located in the shadow of thr iconic Notre Dame Cathedral.
- Go gallery hopping in the trendy Marais neighborhood, centered around the Rue des Francs Bourgeois (950m/.6mi), which boasts well-preserved medieval architecture.
- Get lost in the medieval corridors of the Îlot Saint-Sévérin in the famous Latin Quarter, packed with exciting restaurants, bars and historic architecture and also home to Paris’s narrowest street, the Rue du Chat-qui-pêche (Fishing Cat Street; 750m/.5mi).
The rest of Paris is just a quick ride away on the métro. The closest stations to you are Pont Marie (line 7; 400m/.3mi), Maubert-Mutualité (line 10; 750m/.5mi), and Cité (line 4; 800m/.5mi).

The apartment had everything that I needed. I cook quite a lot, and so it was very nice to have had cooking appliances and materials ready at hand. The bed and linens were decent for a student living on their own, and the desk was even more suiting. |

I was very happy with the apartment. Great location, very central. And a bigger and better equipped kitchen than many comparable apartments. Just a warning, there are a lot of stairs to get up to the apartment. |

Thank you Marian. Indeed, this is an old building from the seventeenth century, and there was no elevator at the time. But compared to newer buildings, the stories are not very high so the effort is worth it. This is the brightest floor. Doing a bit of exercise is also very good for the health.
