This duplex apartment is situated on the 3rd and 4th floors (equivalent to fourth and fifth floors in the USA) of a luxury building with elevator. It is located in Charonne neighborhood, in the south of the 20th arrondissement, on rue des Maraîchers, near rue Philidor.
A 20 m2 (about 215 square feet) tree-filled terrace, large French doors to be found in all the rooms and the balconies adjoining each of the bedroom for rent, all contribute to the charm of this 110 m2 (about 1185 square feet) shared apartment.
The bedrooms look out onto a green environment, so much so that you may feel you are in the country whilst living in the heart of Paris and its lively city center.
The two bedrooms available for rent are part of a homestay apartment: each roommate will share the main rooms with the owner, including the kitchen and one of the two bathrooms. The kitchen opens onto the terrace and is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, an oven, a microwave, a coffee maker, a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The first bedroom for rent is equipped with a double bed. The second bedroom has a single bed and a sofa.
This apartment share is in a great location to explore Paris.
The nearest subway station - Maraîchers, line 9 - is about 250 meters (about 820 feet) from the apartment and takes you directly:
- to Place de la République
- then to Saint Lazare neighborhood (with Boulevard Haussmann’s department stores)
- and to Place du Trocadero facing the Eiffel Tower.
Porte de Vincennes metro station is about 500 meters away on line 1 and takes you directly:
- to Place de la Nation (and the A “RER” train which will take you to the business district La Défense and its Grande Arche in 15 minutes),
- then to Bastille and the City Hall, and the Marais between them,
- then to Châtelet (Les Halles neighborhood, Beaubourg Museum and Île de la Cité),
- then to the Champs-Élysées
- and lastly to the business district La Défense
There are many stores including Carrefour (about 200 meters, i.e. 650 feet from the apartment), cafés, gyms and hospitals very close by. You will also find parks, including Square Sarah Bernhardt - a park where open-air yoga, Pilates and Qi gong classes are organized -, the famous Père Lachaise cemetery and Château de Vincennes Floral Park with year-round events such as music festivals for instance.
