This two bedroom apartment is situated in the crossroad of a very little and silent street and a larger busy street between Rue Linne and Rue Jussieu.
The apartment is located on the 4th French floor of a walk-up building from the 17th century with security code. The front of the building was renovated in Spring 2004. The apartment's door is an armoured door.
The entire apartment is painted white, having a herringbone patterned wooden floor in the living room and a linoleum floor of the same pattern in the master bedroom. Three large double glazed windows allow for a good amount of natural light. Additionally there is a flat screen television with DVD and VCR, a Hi-Fi stereo and two decorative fireplaces.
The living room is furnished with a leather convertible double size sofabed and a wooden dining table with chairs.
Open to the living room, the kitchen has a wooden countertop on which is settled the stainless steel sink and white cupboards above and below containing the utensils. It is equipped with a 4 gas burner stove and oven that has a hood with exhaust fan, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer and a dishwasher.
The master bedroom is furnished with a double bed, a built-in closet with mirrored doors, two small tables, a recessed bookcase, a decorative fireplace, lamps, and two windows with outside wooden shutters.
The second bedroom has two single beds, one of which is a foldout cot. Here the floor is covered with blue linoleum and there is a white cast iron fireplace (out of use), a built in closet, recessed little shelves, and a window on the silent courtyard side. Linens are provided.
The first bathroom has a bathtub tub with showerhead, a washbasin with a mirror above and a cabinet below, a washing machine/dryer combo, toilet, and a large window. The second bathroom has a glass shower cabin, a washbasin with a cabinet below, toilet, and a small window.
There is a high speed Internet connection available throughout the apartment.
In this area also known as Quartier Latin are some of the most famous Universities and high schools such as Jussieu, La Sorbonne, Lycee Louis le Grand and Lycee Henri IV. Several parks dot the neighborhood such as the Jardin des Plantes with the National Museum of Natural History, and the large, beautiful Jardin du Luxembourg with its magnificent alleys and pool located in the 6th district of Paris. In the neighborhood there are all sorts of entertainment and services such as cinemas, fashion stores, restaurants, and cafes.
I greatly enjoyed my stay at this apartment in Paris Veme. The location was great, apartment comfortably furnished, and the owner extremely accommodating and a pleasure to work with.
